Overview
Malta has the largest ship registry in Europe, after surpassing Greece in the beginning of 2012, and is currently the 6th largest ship register worldwide. Since Malta became a Member of the European Union, any vessels flying the Maltese flag are deemed to be EU Vessels.
Gonzi & Associates, Advocates is able to assist a ship owner with all the necessary steps leading to the registration of a vessel under the Maltese flag. We are also able to provide assistance in relation to ancillary services such as the application for radio licences, the transfer of ownership of vessels, registry searches and the deletion of ships from the Registry as may be necessary.
