Malta

A home for your business

The Republic of Malta (Republika ta’ Malta) is an archipelago that lies at the centre of the Mediterranean, 93km south of Sicily and 288km north of Africa. The archipelago is composed of three islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino with a total population of slightly more than 493,000 inhabitants over an area of 316sq km and a coastline of 196.8km (not including 56.01 km for the island of Gozo).

Being the largest island Malta is the cultural, commercial and administrative centre, while Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural, characterised by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture while Comino is uninhabited.

With a history of over 7,000 years, Malta boasts unique treasures ranging from the world famous Hypogeum selected as a place of World Heritage by UNESCO, prehistoric temples and grand palaces, which all are packed in this archipelago and surrounded by sunny weather, expansive beaches and a thriving nightlife.

The long relationship between the Maltese and the various nationalities that occupied Malta over the centuries has created a marriage of styles and traditions, giving the Islands a fascinating eclectic culture.

Geographic location, political stability, educated workforce and a beneficial tax framework are just a few of the benefits of a Malta company and investment in Malta.
