Overview
European Union Nationals enjoy the right of free movement within European Union Member States and therefore are entitled to live, work, study and even retire in another Member State. However, notwithstanding that the freedom of movement is protected at EU level, European Union Nationals are still required to follow certain procedural formalities to exercise their right to free movement. Such formalities include applying for a residence document evidencing one’s immigration position in Malta.
